Thomas Peacock (1839 - after 1901) - son of William Peacock (1799 - 1845) - son of William Peacock (1778 - 1845) - son of John Peacock (1738-?) - son of John Peacock (about 1710-1742)

Thomas Peacock was baptised in 1839 in Sheering, Essex.249  The Baptism Register of St Mary the Virgin, Sheering Essex, has the entry:

Thomas, son of William & Frances Peacock Labourer, was baptised 25.8.1839

He spent his youth in Sheering and appears In the 1841 and 1851 Censuses.

In the 1871 Census, he was living in Enfield, Middlesex. Brewers lab12 In the 1881 Census, he was living in Enfield, Middlesex. 13 In the 1891 Census, Thomas was living in Enfield, Middlesex. 14 In the 1901 Census, he was living in Enfield, Middlesex. General labourer15

Thomas Peacock and Sarah Ann Swain were married in 1866. The Civil Marriage registration is as follows: Jun 1866, V 1d, p 179: in St George Southwark16

Although they married south of the River Thames, by 1871 they were settled in Ponders End, Enfield, Middlesex, and living with her parents.  They continued to live there until the end of the century.

Sarah Ann Swain was born in 1845 in Ponders End, Middx.13

Thomas Peacock and Sarah Ann Swain had the following children:

William Peacock was born in 1875 and appears in the above 1881 and 1891 Census returns with his parents.  In the 1901 Census, William was living in Camberwell, London, with his Uncle, James Swain15

iv.

Charles Peacock was born in 1875 in Ponders End, Middx.  He appears in the above 1881 to 1901Census returns with his parents.

v.

Frederick Peacock was born in 1880 in Ponders End, Middx.13 In the 1881 and 1891 Censuses he is with his parents.

vi.

Thomas Peacock was born in 1885 in Ponders End, Middx.14 He is with his parents in 1891 and 1901 and seems to be employed in the manufacture of light bulbs.
