Battle of the Atlantic

W.G.F. Burgar (my Dad) was onboard the SS Hartington in the ill fated Convoy SC107 sailing from Canada to Liverpool.  The convoy was attacked by a U-Boat 'wolf pack' containing 17 submarines and 15 allied ships were sunk, including the SS Hartington.

The sections below give accounts of the battle from German and  Canadian sources as well as his personal experiences.
