SS Hartington; Dry Cargo, of London, Capt. M.J. Edwards.  Owners J. & C. Harrison & Co. Ltd.

27th October 1942: Sailed from Halifax on passage to Belfast in Convoy SC 107 with 8,000ton grain and 6 tanks.

2nd November 1942: Torpedoed between No.1 & 2 holds and sunk by German submarines U 522 and U 438 in North Atlantic, 360m E by N Belle Island. 22 crew and two gunners lost. 23 survivors rescued by HMS WINCHELSEA and landed at St. Johns 13th November 1942. Crew lost were
