Sixth GenerationJames Peacock (1866 - 1945) - son of John Peacock (1843 - ?) - son of John Peacock (1813 - 1896) - son of John Peacock (1766 - 1829) - son of John Peacock (1738-?) - son of John Peacock (about 1710 - 1742) James Peacock was born on 27 January 1866 in Matching Green, Essex.253 He was baptized in Matching Green, Essex.222 The Baptism Register of St Mary the Virgin, Matching, Essex has the entry: James, son of John & Mary Ann Peacock, Labourer of M. Green, was baptised 1.4.1866 He appears with his parents in the 1871 and 1881 Census returns. He married Agnes Marie Theresa Dennington in 1897 in Tottenham, Middlesex. The Civil Marriage registration reference is as follows: Jun 1897 , v 3a, p 625: in Edmonton, London16 They appear together in the 1901 Census living in Tottenham. Whether they stayed in Tottenham for long is uncertain, since they are buried in Matching Churchyard. There is an inscription on a headstones in Matching Church Yard 253 (Grave position 144 in churchyard plan) as follows: IN LOVING MEMORY OF ALSO IN LOVING
