Edmond Bond and Frances born Oct 1740 and baptised on 19/10/1740 James Bond and Elizabeth Wallis were married on 23
July 1769 in Bishops Stortford.174
The Marriage Register at Stanstead Mountfitchett has the entry: James Bond
of Bishop Stortford Herts and Elizabeth Wallis of Stanstead were married by
Banns on 23/7/1769. Both signed X. Witnesses: Thomas Riley signed (
Seems to be Parish Clerk) & Henry Wibrow
The Banns were published in Bishops Stortford on June 11, 18 and 23
1769 174.

His occupation was initially a servant and then a labourer. James Bond and Elizabeth Wallis had the

of Stanstead, Essex, by Mary Levey, of Ugley, on the 27th November 1846.
She signed with an "X"
There were several Mary Levey
in Ugley in the 1841 Census so it is unclear which Mary Levey registered the
death.

The date of birth 1873 is at
variance with her baptism date so it is possible that this is not the
correct Elizabeth Bond. [bond1.ged] aged 73 Registered by Mary Levey. A
