He signed

October 1832 in Clavering, Essex.78
Will of James Bond, the
elder, of Clavering 1833
This is the last Will & Testament of
me James Bond the Elder
of Clavering in the County of Essex Carpenter. I
give and devise all that
my freehold house and the buildings yards and
gardens and appurtenances
situate at Arkesden in the said County of Essex
called Kempit House
to my Trustees and Executors hereinafter named and
their ? in Trust
and as conveniently may be after my decease to sell the
same either by
public auction or private contract for the best price that
can be got. And the ?
monies to arise therefrom I give and bequeath
equally to my wife and
my seven children that is to say one eighth to my
wife and the remainder
equally between my children. I give and devise all
that my Copyhold house
and garden with the appurtenances situate at
Clavering aforesaid now in the
occupation of myself and Elizabeth White
to my dear wife for her life
and as soon as conveniently may be after her
decease I direct my said Trustees
and Executors to sell the same either
by public auction or private contract for
the best price that can be
got. And I give and bequeath the clear monies to
share therefrom equally
between my seven children. I give to my wife the use
and enjoyment of
all my household goods and furniture during her life and
after her
decease I give the same equally between my children. I appoint
George
Orger of Clavering Butcher and his son Samuel Orger of the same
place,
butcher executors of this my Will and Trustees for sale of my real
estates and I declare that their receipts or that of survivor of them or
his heirs shall be sufficient discharges to the purchasers of my said
estates
for their respective purchase money and such purchasers shall
not be
liable to see to the application or accountable for the
misapplication thereof. And
that my said Trustees and Executors shall
not be accountable for the acts deeds or
defaults of each other nor for
any loss which shall happen to my said Trust.
Estate unless the same
shall happen through their wilful neglect or default
and that they shall
be at liberty to deduct and return all their reasonable costs,
charges
and expenses. In witness whereof I have to this my last will and
Testament set my hand and seal this sixth day of October One Thousand
eight hundred and thirty two. James Bond senior . Signed

published and declared by the said Testator James Bond the
elder. As and
for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his
presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto
subscribed our names as witnesses. Thomas Robert, Ann Robert,
William
Kent servant to Mr Robert.
Proved on the eleventh day of June in the year
of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and thirty three before the
Reverand Nicholas Bull, clerk,
surrogate by the oaths of George Orger
and Samuel Orger the Executors
to whom Administration was granted they
being first sworn duly
to administer.
The freehold house called Kempit House in Arkesden, Essex, was inherited from his father Edmund who died in 1811 in Clavering.
However, the Will implies that he was living in a houseoccupied a copyhold house in Clavering.
