Abbots Roothing Congregational Church - Sunday School
See note on the name changes of Roothing/Roding villages
The table below is data that has been abstracted from the Sunday School Register of Abbots Roothing Congregational Church. It shows all the children with the surname Peacock who were attending this Sunday School.
At this time there were two separate Peacock families in the area. One family was based in Abbots Roothing and the other in Matching. The only Peacock from Matching to attend the school was John Peacock.

Unfortunately, John Peacock does not have his age entered. However, most children seem to start at the age of about 6 or 7 years. John starts school in 1818, so if this is John Peacock (1813-1896) he would only have been 5 years old.
