Edmond Bond appears as a the occupier of land
in the the four documents dealing with the Copyhold
transfer on 30th June 1738 which is summarized as follows:.
Land of 2 acres in the Copyhold possession of Wentworth Bradbury, Clerk, and Joseph Sharpe, Lord of the Manor, do lease unto Robert Butt of Saffron Walden the land occupied by Edward Bond.
The Copyhold was surrendered to Robert Blunt for
£40 with an annual rental of 2s4d to be paid every 29th September. It
comprised 2 acres of grounds bounded:
on South by
Wicken Bonhunt Street
on East by grounds of Rectory
on
North by Lands of Wicken hall
on West by lane leading to Common
Fields
This ground was occupied by Edmond Bond, but in the Copyhold possession of Wentworth Bradbury.
Furvell Hall in Arkesden is mentioned.
