Land Tax records for the House owned by Edmond Bond (1732-1811) and his son James Bond (1761-1833)
The Land Tax record for Uttersford Hundred (reference Q/RP1/896 - 948) were checked from 1780 to 1830 for Arkesden. The findings are detailed below::
| Date | Proprietor | Tenant | Rating Value £-s-d |
| 1810 | Bond | Himself | 0-2-0 |
| 1811 | Bond | J. Bush | 0-2-0 |
| 1820 | James Bond | J. Bush | 0-2-0 |
| 1830 | James Bond | J. Bush | 0-2-0 |
| 1832 | James Bond | J. Bush | 0-2-0 |
Edmond Bond occupied the house until 1810. He died in 1811 and was buried in Clavering. After his death in 1811, the house was inherited by his son, James Bond (1861-1832).
In 1811 the house was let to J. Bush who continued as the tenant at least until 1833 when James Bond died.
After James' death in 1833 his Will decreed that the house was to be sold and the proceeds were to be distributed equally to his wife and children.
