Signatures of Edmond Bond (about 1700-1769) and his son-in-laws.
Edmond signing at the marriage of his daughter Sarah Bond on 6/6/1758

Because Edmond was important in his village his daughters tended to marry quite well.
His daughter Elizabeth Bond was 42 years old when she married Robert Levey, a widower and baker. His signature on the marriage licence is shown below. Since he had many young children he presumably needed someone to look after them.

Elizabeth and Robert signed the Marriage Register at Stanstead Mountfitchett, but the signatures were not obtained. This will be done in the future so that Elizabeth's signature can be included.
Edmond's youngest daughter, Mercy, married John Joyce. At the wedding ceremony she signed with an 'X', but he signed. He also signed the Marriage Licence, shown below.
