Sixth GenerationEliza Peacock (1861 - ?) - daughter of William Peacock (1836 - after 1901) - son of George Peacock (1814 1891) - son of William Peacock (1778 - 1845) - son of John Peacock (1738-?) - son of John Peacock (about 1710-1742) Eliza Peacock was baptized in 1861 in St Mary the Virgin, Matching, Essex.222 The Baptism Register of St Mary the Virgin, Matching, Essex has the entry: Eliza, daughter of William & Sarah Peacock Lab of Housham Hall Gate, was baptised 30.6.1861 In the 1871 Census, she was living with her father, William. In the 1881 Census, Eliza was a servant living in Lambeth, London.13 Eliza Peacock had the child below, but left him to grow up in Matching in the care of her brother James and his wife Matilda. She continued to live in London and was certainly there in 1892, according to a comment in the Matching School Log Book: 12/8/1892. W. Peacock present in the morning only. After School hours Mrs. James Peacock sent information that she intended sending to his mother in London on the following Monday.
