Elizabeth Peacock was in St Mary the Virgin, Matching, Essex.  The Baptism Register of Matching, Essex, 222  has the entry:

Elizabeth, daughter of John & Ann Peacock was baptised. 22.1.1797.

Although, the above gives the mother as Ann Peacock, there was no such person living in Matching at this time. We believe that there is a mistake in the register entry and that the mother should be Mary.

Elizabeth Peacock and Phillip Lee were married in 1820 at Matching, Essex.  The Marriage Register for St May the Virgin, Matching, Essex, 222 has the entry:

Elizabeth Peacock married Philip Lee of White Roothing on 16.10.1820 Both signed X
Witnesses: Jonathon Foster ( signed ) & Ann Little ( signed ).

Jonathon Foster was a church official and was often a signatory at weddings.

The Witness Ann Little is the sister of Mary Little, Elizabeth Peacock's mother.  This lends evidence to the opinion that the baptism entry above is a mistake and the mother should be Mary.

Elizabeth (Peacock) Lee and family appear in many Census returns.

See 1841 to 1871 Census returns

Phillip Lee was born in 1798 in White Roothing, Essex.10

Elizabeth Peacock and Phillip Lee had many children (see Census returns) but the one below was baptised on the same day as on of her brothers children.

i.

James Lee was  was baptized in Matching, Essex.  The Baptism Register of St Mary the Virgin, Matching, Essex222  has the entry:

James , son of Philip and Elizabeth Lee Blacksmith Lab of Matching Green, was baptised 15.6.1834

Also on the same day is the following.

Rachel, daughter of John & Eliza Peacock, Labourer of Matching Green, was baptised 15.6.1834

This is one of the indications that John Peacock and Elizabeth (Peacock) Lee are related.
