See 1841 Census

At this time he was living with his son John, who was also a sail cloth weaver.

He died in 1848 in Limehouse.17,120,139      Civil Registration of Death reference is Dec 1848 v 2, p 378,  Stepney, London.16,120    The Death Certificate states:

The informant was Lydia Tugwood who was present at the death, of 58 Ropemakers Fields, Limehouse, Middlesex. The death was registered on the 21st November 1848 in the sub-district of Limehouse in the District of Stepney.

The informant Lydia Tugwood, was the daughter of Hannah (Mudford) Barlow, the sister of George.

George Mudford and Mary Newton were married on 24 June 1799 in St Mary , Lambeth, London.95,121 The Marriage Register of St Mary, Lambeth, London has the entry:

George Mudford, Bachelor, and Mary Newton, Spinster, both of this Parish were married by Banns on 24/6/1799. He signed and Mary made her mark.
The witnesses were William Small and W Gawler, both of whom signed.

Mary (Newton) Mudford died pre 1841 since she is not in the 1841 Census with George.

Several of George Mudford's siblings were also living in Limehouse in 1841.  It is therefore possible that his whole family (parents and siblings)  moved to the area  at the same time, maybe the 1790s. The whole family were involved in weaving sailcloth.
