George Burgess was born on 1 September 1893 in South Scousburgh.²⁶ He died on 19 May 1968 at the age of 74 in South Scousburgh.²⁶

George Burgess and Catherine Moncrieff were married on 19 March 1931 in Lerwick.²⁶

Catherine Moncrieff was born on 5 July 1900 in Spiggie Dunrossness,²⁶  and died on 8 June 1973 at the age of 72 in Southerhouse Scousburgh.²⁶
