Mary Burgar was born on 21 Oct 1817 in Marylebone, London.16,98 She was baptized on 5 Apr 1818 in St Mary Marylebone.72,98  The Church register reads:

Mary Burgar, born 21st October 1817, daughter of John Burgar, Mechanic, and Mary Burgar, baptised 5th April 1818 at St Marylebone, Marylebone, Middx.

She was baptized again on 17 Apr 1818 in St Olaves, Southwark, London.72

Mary Burgar and John Drew were married on 10 Mar 1838 in St Mary Marylebone.16,98 They were married by Licence.

Mary Burgar Spinster, Full Age, of this Parish and John Drew, Widower Commercial traveller of Wigmore Street married on 10th March 1838 at St Mary Marylebone . The fathers were John Burgar, Victualler deceased and Robert Drew, tanner deceased. The witnesses were Charles Blake and Elizabeth Chinn

Mary was 22 years old. Of the witnesses, Charles Blake was a cousin on the mothers side and Elizabeth Chinn a cousin on her fathers side ( See the Chinn family).

In the 1841 Census, she and John Drew were living in Camberwell 9  Her mother, Mary (Blake) Burgar, was living with her.
