Descendants of Robert Burgar (1754-1820)
James Horace Aylott - son of Elizabeth Jane Burgar (1846-1872) - daughter of Robert James Burgar (1810-1884) - son of Robert Burgar (1776-1848) - assumed son of Robert Burgar (1754-1820)
James Horace Aylott was born in 1868 in Kensal Green, London.13,15
James Horace seems to have had a difficult childhood. After his mother, Elizabeth
Jane (Burgar) Aylott died in 1872 he may have been fostered out to his Burgar
relatives. He appears living with his uncle, Robert Edmond Burgar, in the 1881
Census. It
would thus seem that the Burgar side of the family looked after James Horace Aylott during his childhood.
See 1881 Census.
Later he marries his cousin, Mary Ann Westbrook. She was the daughter of Janetta
(Burgar) Westbrook, the elder sister of his mother, Elizabeth Jane Burgar. It is
known that they had at least on child, but we have not researched further into
whether there were others.
We have not found him in the 1871 or 1891 Censuses.
In the 1901 Census, he was living at 1 Lombard Road, Battersea London.15
James Horace Aylott and Mary Ann Westbrook were married in 1898 in Wandsworth London.16 Civil Registration of marriage reference is Jun 1898, v 1d, p 1004 - Wandsworth London.16

Ann Westbrook (daughter of Robert George Westbrook and Janette Burgar) was
