Richard Stimson Webster is
a direct ancestor of Bill Burgar, author of this work.
His second name appears in various guises in the different documents,
Simson, Simpson, Stimpson, Stimson etc. For convenience we have always referred
to him as Richard Stimson Webster.
Richard Stimson Webster was born
on 21 August 1830 in Holy Trinity, Gough Sq, London.254
(We have not verified that this
Is correct).
He appears with his parents in the 1841 census.

were married on 19 May 1850 in St Leonards, Shoreditch, London.69,254
The Marriage Register of St Leonards, Shoreditch, states : Richard
Stimson Webster, of full age , Bachelor, Perfumer, of Green Street, and Jane
Eliza Jamieson, of full age, Spinster, Servant of Green Street were married by
Banns on 19th May 1850. Both signed the register. Fathers were: William
George Webster, Shoemaker and Henry Jamieson, Smith. Witnesses were: George
Buffin, who signed, and Margaret Buffin, who made her mark.
Margaret Buffin was his sister and George Buffin was his brother-in-law.
The Civil
Registration of marriage reference is Jun 1850, vol 2, p 471 - in Shoreditch,
London.16
They appear in the 1851 Census where he is a Perfumer10 In the 1861
Census, Richard was an Omnibus

Richard died about
1871.218 In
the 1871 Census his wife was
married (about April). However, Richard was deceased at the time of daughter Jane
Eliza's marriage in March 1873.

born on 5/7/1851 and was baptised on 27/7/1851. She appears with
her parents in the 1861 and 1871 Censuses.

London.52 The Baptism
Register of St Brides, Fleet Street, states: Richard Stimson, son
of Richard Stimson and Jane Eliza Webster, Perfumer, of 5 Goldsmith Row,
was born on 30/7/1852 and was baptised on 21/8/1852. He appears
with his parents in the 1861 and 1871 Censuses.

Brides, Fleet St, London.52
The Baptism Register of St Brides, Fleet Street, states: Charles
William, son of Richard Stimson and Jane Eliza Webster, of 10 Bayham
Square, Camden Town, Omnibus Conductor, of 10 Bayham Square, Camden Town,
was born 30/10/1858 and was baptised 12/12/1858.
He appears with his parents in the 1861 and 1871 Censuses.

Mary, daughter of Richard Stimson and Jane Eliza Webster, Omnibus
Conductor, of 3 Newberry Place, Malden Road, was born 23/9/1862 and was
baptised on 26/4/1863.
She appears with her mother in the 1871 Census.

She does not appear with her mother in the 1871 Census, so had perhaps
