Fifth GenerationWilliam Peacock (1846 - ?) - son of John Peacock (1813 - 1896) - son of John Peacock (1766 - 1829) - son of John Peacock (1738-?) - son of John Peacock (about 1710 - 1742) William Peacock was born on in Matching Green, Essex and was baptized in Abbots Roothing Congregational Church, Abbots Roding, Essex.227 The Baptism Register of Abbots Roding Congregational Church, Abbots Roding, Essex, has the entry: William Peacock, son of John & Eliza Peacock of Matching Green, was born born 13.5.1846 and was baptised 27.9.1846. In the 1851 Census, he was living in Matching Green with his parents. At the young age of 14 he has left home and is working as an agricultural labourer in Little Laver. We are not sure want he did in the next decade, but William Peacock and Mary Ann Stone were married in 1874 in Kensington, London. The Civil Marriage registration is as follows: Mar 1874, v 1a, p 209: in Kensington, London He then appears in the 1881,1891 and 1901 Censuses in the London area. Generally he is a coachman. His younger brother Charles was a Drayman, so they both seem to be dealing with horses. William Peacock and Mary Ann Stone had the following children: |
