George Peacock was born in  Matching Green, Essex and was baptized in St Mary the Virgin, Matching, Essex.222 The Baptism Register of St Mary the Virgin, Matching, Essex has the entry:

George, son of John & Eliza Peacock, Labourer of Matching Green, was baptised 23.8.1840


He appears with his parents in the 1841 to 1861 Censuses.

George Peacock and Charlotte Pritlove were married on 21 March 1862 in St Mary the Virgin, Matching, Essex.222,251 The Marriage Register for St May the Virgin, Matching, Essex, has the entry:

George Peacock, Full Age, Bachelor, Labourer, of Matching & Charlotte Pritlove, Full Age, Spinster, of Matching married on 21.3.1862. Both signed X.
Fathers: John Peacock Labourer & John Pritlove Labourer.
Witnesses: John Trundle (signed X) & Mary Ann Perry (signed name)

On same day brother James was married as follows:

James Peacock, Full Age, Bachelor, Labourer, of Matching & Mary Little, Minor, Spinster, of Matching married on 21.3.1862. Both signed X.
Fathers: John Peacock Labourer & John Little Labourer.
Witnesses: John Trundle (signed X) & Mary Ann Perry (signed name)

After his marriage George and Charlotte lived in Little Laver, Essex and then Chigwell, Essex.

Sometime after this, the couple moved to Kent, since Charlotte died there in 1887.  The Civil Registration of Death reference is Sep 1887, v 2a, p 367, Aged 55 - in Tonbridge, Kent.16

After Charlotte's death his younger sister Emily joins him and acts as his housekeeper.
