Thomas Peacock (1783 - 1837) - son of John Peacock (1738-?) - son of John Peacock (about 1710-1742)

Thomas Peacock was baptized in 1783 in All Saints, High Laver, Essex.243 The Baptism Register for All Saints, High Laver, Essex, has the entry:

Thomas, son of John and Mary Peacock, was baptised 7.12.1783

Thomas Peacock and Lucy Curtis were married in 1808 in St Mary and Hugh, Harlow, Essex.247 The Marriage Register of St Mary and Hugh, Harlow, Essex, has the entry:

Thomas Peacock of High Laver married Lucy Curtis by Licence 13/5/1808

After having many children Thomas died in 1837 and was buried in St Mary the Virgin, Matching, Essex.222 The Burial Register of St Mary the Virgin, Matching, Essex, has the entry:

Thomas Peacock, aged 55, of Newmans End was buried 15.6.1837

Lucy Curtis was born in 1787 in Spalding, Lincolshire.10

She appears in the 1841 to 1861 Censuses.  In the latter she is living with her daughter, Sarah.

Lucy died in 1864, aged 77  in Union House Epping.222    She was buried in St Mary the Virgin, Matching, Essex.222 The Burial Register of St Mary the Virgin, Matching, Essex, has the entry:

Lucy Peacock, aged 77, of Union House Epping, was buried 11.7.1864.

Eliza was buried on 21 April 1819 in St Mary the Virgin, Matching, Essex.222 The Burial Register of St Mary the Virgin, Matching, Essex, has the entry:

Letitia Peacock, aged 19, of Union House Epping, was buried 15.12.1842

Secondly, the Baptism Register of St Mary the Virgin, Matching, Essex has the entry:

James, son of Thomas & Lucy Peacock, Labourer of Matching, was baptised 29.1.1826

In the 1841 Census, he was a man servant, living in Brick House, Matching.
