Charles Leonard "Leonard" Peacock was known as Leonard and was born in 1872 in Ponders End, Middx.¹³   The Civil Registration of Births reference is Sep 1872, v 3a, p 234 - in Edmonton, London¹⁶   He appears in the 1881 and 1891 Censuses with his parents, once as Leonard and once as Charles L.

Unfortunately, his parents named two children called Charles:

Charles Leonard  born in 1872                 and Charles born in 1876. 

Charles Leonard "Leonard" Peacock and Charlotte Johnson were married about 1894.¹⁶ Civil Marriage registration is as follows: Sep 1894, v 3a, p443: in Edmonton, London¹⁶

They appear together in the 1901 Census returns, where he is now Leonard.
