James Peacock was baptized on 17 November 1805 in St Mary the Virgin, Matching, Essex.222 The Baptism Register of St Mary the Virgin, Matching, Essex has the entry:

James , son of William & Susan Peacock, was baptised 17.11.1805

James Peacock and Catherine Knight were married in 1830 in Great Parndon, Essex.250  The Marriage Register of St Mary the Virgin, Great Parndon, Essex, has the entry:

James Peacock , bachelor, married Catherine Knight, Spinster with consent of Parents on 5.6.1830. Both signed X.

Witnesses Susan Judd ( Signed X ) & James Lyons ( Signed X )

James and Catherine appear in the 1841 to 1871 Censuses with their many children.

After Catherine died in1880, he moves in with his daughter Sarah and her husband Walter Wright, and appears with them in the 1881 Census.

He died in 1882, two years after his wife. The Civil Registration of Death reference is Jun 1882, v 4a, page 105: Aged 79 - in Epping District,Essex.16

 

 Catherine Knight was born about 1810.4   When she married she needed her parents permission since she was underage.  

She died in 1880.  The Civil Registration of Death reference is Sep 1880, v 4a, page 117: Aged 71 - in Epping District,Essex.16

Jane Peacock was born in 18409 and appears in the 1841/1851 Census with her parents.

Emma Peacock was baptized in 1842 in St Mary the Virgin, Great Parndon, Essex.250 The Baptism Register of St Mary the Virgin, Great Parndon, Essex, has the entry:

Emma, daughter of James & Catherine Peacock Labourer, was baptised 15.5.1842

She appears in the 1851 Census with her parents.

Amelia Peacock was baptized in 1848 in St Mary the Virgin, Great Parndon, Essex.250 The Baptism Register of St Mary the Virgin, Great Parndon, Essex, has the entry:

Amelia, daughter of James & Catherine Peacock Labourer, was baptised 6.8.1848

She appears in the 1851/1861 Census with her parents.

She appears in the 1851/1861 Census with her parents.

Sarah Peacock was born in 1854 in Great Parndon, Essex11 

She appears in the 1861 Census with her parents.  In the 1871 Census, she was living in Harlow, Essex, and was registered as a visitor.12
