Emma Peacock was baptized in 1839 in St Mary the Virgin, Matching, Essex.222 The Baptism Register of St Mary the Virgin, Matching, Essex has the entry:

Emma, daughter of William & Ann Peacock, Labourer of Newmans End, was baptised 11.8.1839

In the 1841 Census, she was living with her mother and in 1851 she living with her grandmother, Lucy, in Back St Harlow10

By 1861 she has moved back to Little Hallingbury, but is classed as a pauper.

Between 1863 and 1871 she had two illegitimate children, but in the 1871 Census she is a servant working for a farmer.

In 1881 she is a charwoman living with her two boys and sister Jane.

In 1884 Emma married James Sapsford.  The Civil Marriage registration reference is: Jun 1884, vol 3a, p 452 - James Sapsford - Bishops Stortford

Thomas Peacock was baptized in 1871 in St Mary the Virgin, Little Hallingbury, Essex.232 The Baptism Register of St Mary the Virgin, Little Hallingbury, Essex, has the entry:

Thomas, son of Emma Peacock, Single woman of Little Hallingbury, was baptised. 10.3.1871

Thomas appears in the 1871 to 1901 Censuses living mostly with his grandmother.
