William Peacock was born on in 1878 in Matching Green, Essex.²²⁷ He was baptized  in Abbots Roothing Congregational Church, Abbots Roding, Essex.²²⁷ The Baptism Register of Abbots Roding Congregational Church, Abbots Roding, Essex, has the entry:

William Peacock, son of John & Mary Ann Peacock of Matching Green, was baptised 15.4.1878 (Born 19.3.1878)

In the 1881 Census he was living with his parents.  After his mother died he is found with his father in the 1891 Census.

 In the 1901 Census, he was a labourer, living in Tottenham, Middlesex. ¹⁵

William Peacock and Annie Houchin were married in Matching, Essex.²²² The Marriage Register for St May the Virgin, Matching, Essex, has the entry:

William Peacock, 30, Bachelor Labourer, Matching married Annie Houchin, 28, Spinster of Matching on 26/9/1908. Both signed.
Fathers: John Peacock Labouer and Stephen Houchin, Labourer.
Witnesses: Eliza Peacock and Charles Houchin, both signed.
