In the 1891 Census, Emily was a servant living at Matching Hall in Matching, Essex. In the 1901 Census, she was a cook domestic living in Broxbourne.15 Emily Jane Peacock and William Pearman were married in 1920 in St Mary the Virgin, Matching, Essex.222 The Marriage Register for St May the Virgin, Matching, Essex, has the entry: Emily Jane Peacock, 44, Spinster of Matching Green married William Pearman, 44,Widower, Foreman Plate Layer of Standon Herts on 14 /8/1920. Both signed. Fathers: John Peacock, Labourer and John Pearman Carpenter deceased. Witnesses: Frederick Peacock, Pricilla Maud Trundle and Victor Edward Peacock. All signed. The witnesses were her brothers and a cousin.
