 William Peacock was born on 30 July 1868 in Matching Green, Essex.²²⁷  and was baptized in Abbots Roothing Congregational Church, Abbots Roding, Essex.²²⁷ The Baptism Register of Abbots Roding Congregational Church, Abbots Roding, Essex, has the entry:

William Peacock, son of James & Mary Peacock of Matching Green, was born 30.7.1868 and was baptised 11.10.1868.

He appears in the 1871 to 1891 Census returns with his parents.
