Alfred Peacock was born in 1865 in Matching Green, Essex and was baptized in St Mary the Virgin, Matching, Essex.²²² The Baptism Register of St Mary the Virgin, Matching, Essex has the entry:

Alfred, son of James & Mary Peacock, Labourer of Matching Green, was baptised 24.9.1865

He was living with his parents in the 1871 to 1891 Census returns.

Alfred Peacock and Margaret Mary Parish were married in 1899.  Civil Marriage registration reference is as follows: Mar 1899, v 4a, p 383.: in Ongar, Essex^166,251 

However, the Marriage Banns Register for St Mary the Virgin ²²², Matching, Essex has the following entry.

Alfred Peacock & Elizabeth Mary Parish of Little Laver Jan 1899

Although there are three dates in the entries, only the month is given he

They appear together in the 1901 Census.
