Mercy Bond (1742 - ?) - daughter of Edmund Bond (about 1700-1769)

Mercy Bond was baptized in Wicken Bonhunt, Essex.210  The Baptism Register of Wicken Bonhunt has the entry:

Mercy daughter of Edmond Bond and Frances was baptised on 13/3/1742

Mercy Bond and John Joyce were married on 30 May 1765 in Rickling.27,168,196 The Rickling Marriage Register states:

Mercy Bond spinster of Rickling and John Joyce bachelor of Rickling married by Licence 30/5/1765.
He signed and she marked X
Witnesses James Laird and Richard Patman (Clerk) both signed.

The Marriage Licence (D/ALL 1765 at Essex Record Office ) states:

The 29th day of May 1765
On which day appeared personally John Joyce and made Oath that he is of the said Parish of Rickling in the County of Essex, aged upwards of 21 years , Bachelor, intends to marry Mercy Bond of Rickling aforesaid aged upwards of twenty one years, spinster

He the deponent not knowing or believing any lawful lot or impediment by reason of any pre-contract entered into before the 25th day of March 1774 consanguinity Affinity or any other lawful means whatsoever or to hinder the said Intended Marriage and prayed a Licence to solemnize the said Marriage in the Parish church of Rickling aforesaid in which said parish they have had their usual abode for the space of four weeks last past.
