Frances Bond was born and baptized in Stanstead Mountfitchet, Essex.¹⁰⁵ The Baptism Register at Stanstead Mountfitchett states:

Frances daughter of Mazey Bond base baptised 18/4/1817

In the Bishops Transcripts (D/CR 336) ¹⁴⁹ Masey is entered as Mercy Bond, Spinster.

Frances Bond daughter of Mercy Bond of Stansted, Base, Spinster, was baptised 13/4/1817

Like her elder brother, Tommas, young Frances was illegitimate.

Frances Bond and William Bartlett Sawkins were married in Stanstead Mountfitchet, Essex.¹⁰⁵ The Marriage Register of Stanstead Mountfitchett has the entry:

Fanny Bond spinster and William Sawkins bachelor, carpenter both full age and of this Parish wer married 13/3/1841. Both signed
His father William Sawkins carpenter. She had no father - (because she was the illegitimate daughter of Mazey Bond).

William Bartlett Sawkins was born in 1815 in Stanstead Mountfitchet, Essex.²⁰ He was baptized on 1 December 1815 in Old meeting Independant Stanstead Mountfitchet.²⁰ In 1841 he was a Carpenter.¹⁰⁵
