Catherine Emma Burgar was born on 25 May 1866 in Camberwell London.^16,106 Civil Registration of Births reference is Jun 1866 V 1d p 706 - Camberwell London¹⁶
She died on 15 Apr 1930.¹⁰⁶

Catherine owned a tobacconist shop in Stockton and an off-licence in Dorset Road.

Catherine is seen to be living at home in 1871.

But in 1881 she is 15 years old and is living away from home working as a House Maid in the home of an accountant.

Then she is a servant in 1891 working for a 29 year old widow who is wealthy enough to employ 4 servants. Thus like her elder sister, Rachel, she seems to be working in up-market households.

After this Catherine Emma Burgar and Arthur Elleston (or Elliston) were married on 12 Jan? 1895¹⁰⁶  Civil Registration of marriage reference is Mar 1895 V 1A p 625 - Hanover Sq London.¹⁶

They appear in the 1901 Census.

Arthur Elleston (or Elliston) was born about 1863 and died on 11 Feb 1931. ¹⁰⁶

Catherine Emma Burgar and Arthur Elleston (or Elliston) had the following children:

 

	i.	Katherine Emma (Win) Elleston
	ii.	Emily Elleston was born in 1896 in Stockwell London.15 Katherine and Emily were twins.
	iii.	William Henry Arthur Elleston was born in 1897 in Stockwell London.15
