William Henry Burgar was born on 10 Aug 1881 in Camberwell London.^16,106 Registration of Births reference is Sep 1881 V 1d p 856 - Camberwell London¹⁶

William appears in the 1891 to 1901 Census returns.

He enlisted in the Army in the First World War. ¹¹¹  Prior to the war he had been a gas stove fitter.

He suffered from gas poisoning during the war, and received a pension afterwards.

He died in 1963 at Camberwell London.¹⁶ Civil Registration of Death reference is Dec 1963 V 5c p 284. Aged 82. Registered as Henry Burgar - Camberwell London.¹⁶

William Henry Burgar and Lilian Biggs, Spinster,  were married at St Chrysostoms Church, Peckham, on 21st December 1902.¹¹¹

Civil Registration of marriage reference is Dec 1902 V 1D p 1663 - Camberwell London.¹⁶

Lilian Biggs was born in 1883.³
