Walter James Burgar was born in 1862.^15,16,87,106 Civil Registration of Births reference is Mar 1863 V 1d p 560 - Camberwell London¹⁶ He was baptized on 21 Dec 1862 in St Peters, Walworth, London.⁸⁷ The baptism Register at St Peters, Walworth, London has:

Walter James, born on the 30th November 1863, son of Walter and Rachel Burgar, Butcher, of 1 Fosters Buildings, was baptised on the 21st December 1862 at St Peters, Walworth.

He died in 1943 at Battersea London.¹⁶ Civil Registration of Death reference is Dec1943 V 1d p 342. Aged 80. - Battersea London.¹⁶

He was living with his parents at the time of the 1871 and 1881 Censuses

Walter James Burgar and Annie Elizabeth Hall were married in 1887 in Wandsworth London.¹⁶  Civil Registration of marriage reference is Jun 1887 V 1D p 936 - Wandsworth London.¹⁶

In 1876 Walter appeared was summons for receiving goods that had been stolen by his sister Rachel.

Luckily, Walter was acquitted, but Rachel received 3 years in a reformatory.

He was living at 34 Latchmere Rd, Battersea not far from his father-in-law, Henry Hall at 42, Latchmere Road. Father-in-law and Walter James were both dealers in horse meat for consumption by cats.

However, by 1901 he had moved away and  was now a carman, so presumably the cat food business had not worked out well.

Annie Elizabeth Hall was born in 1866 in Battersea London.¹⁵

She died in 1948 at Battersea London.¹⁶ Civil Registration of Death reference is Dec 1948 V 56 p 62. Aged 82. - Battersea London.¹⁶

Walter James Burgar and Annie Elizabeth Hall had the following children:
