After Edwin Burgar’s first wife, Emma Fearn, died, Edwin moved to Sheffield and married Harriet Blanksby in 1853 and had quite a large family. The family surname was entered as Burgin not Burgar in the Census Index.

Edwin Burgar died in 1871, just prior to the Census. Harriet was now a widow. Her age seems to be incorrect; she is really only about 35. Edwin would have died soon after his daughter Emma was born (late 1870). This seemed to set the family into a period of rough times.
